About the Gazan Canadians Initiative

Across generations, Canada has shown the world what compassion in action looks like. From welcoming refugees who built new lives, like the founder of Peace by Chocolate, who turned gratitude into a thriving Nova Scotian success story, to offering safe haven to families seeking a fresh start, the Canadian story is one of empathy, inclusion, and shared growth.

Gazan Canadians is a national, community-led initiative built on that same spirit. We are a group of families, professionals, and volunteers across Canada working together to support newcomers arriving from Gaza, survivors who have endured unimaginable loss and are now beginning a new chapter of life here.

Our mission is simple:
To help these newcomers rebuild their lives through meaningful work, dignity, and belonging.

Who We Are

We are not a government body or a charity. We are Canadians—immigrants, professionals, and families, who believe in lifting others the way we were lifted when we first arrived. Our network spans coast to coast, connecting communities, businesses, and employers who share the same belief: that welcoming others strengthens us all.

Over the past two years, our members have worked tirelessly alongside policymakers, humanitarian organizations, and local leaders to ensure families can arrive safely under Canada’s humanitarian pathways. Now, many of these individuals—teachers, engineers, tradespeople, entrepreneurs, healthcare workers, and more, are ready to contribute to their new communities.

What We Do

We connect qualified newcomers from Gaza with Canadian employers seeking motivated, skilled, and resilient workers.
Our database includes thousands of candidates cleared through all Canadian security and eligibility checks, holding valid work permits and diverse professional backgrounds across multiple sectors, construction, technology, manufacturing, hospitality, healthcare, and education among them.

We work closely with business owners, HR leaders, and community organizations to identify hiring needs, provide introductions, and support integration. Beyond employment, we focus on helping families settle with dignity, because work is not just about income; it’s about belonging, purpose, and healing.
